With the coming of a new year, we’re all very aware of everyone setting New Year’s Resolutions, but most people never stick to them, often breaking them and failing them within the first month.
I have decided that I do not need to set resolutions for myself, instead I have set out a list of goal for 2012.
1. Be more active (note this is not lose weight, it’s simply be more active)
2. Write more (this is not, finish my novel or play, but simply write more)
3. Gain more skills and take more classes
That’s about it, I say if you keep your goals simple and don’t set impossible standards that you know you’ll never achieve, you’ll be fine.
I am fully expecting my gym to be super crowded come January 1st with every idiot in the world setting the goal to “Lose 30 pounds” I am pretty excited for that nonsense to come. As long as my machines are free and I don’t have to yell at anyone I think we’ll be okay.
